Olympian Silken Laumann

Canadian Olympic rower Silken Laumann is in town for GOGA Week (Get Out Get Active). Silken is now an inspirational speaker and author. We photographed the welcome event, here is an image of Silken making a few comments about importance of children's play and thanking the GOGA team for bringing her to Nelson.

Today we went out to shoot some photos for Christine's portfolio. It was a fabulous day and we found some great locations to shoot. Chrissy's Mom did her hair and make-up and did an awesome job creating new looks with the different outfits. All of the clothing is from Global Underground in downtown Nelson. I am sure there will be more, but for now, here are a couple of my favorites.

Spring Fling Nelson Waldorf School

Nelson Waldorf School's annual Spring Fling was held on Saturday at the Lakeside Prestige. We were both guests and photographers at the event and it was a lot of fun. There were great hors d'oeuvres, drinks and lots of great auction items, including many wonderful arts & crafts.

Bloom Fashion Show

The Bloom Fashion show was hosted by Scarlet Mary Rose and el Lisel of The Magazine Show . Retailers who helped bring local 'Kooture' to the runway included Global Underground, Lonnie's Lingerie, Bia Boro, Streetclothes Named Desire, Covet, Hemp & Co, Andrea Hughes Design with Make-up Forever by Habits and Hair by Misty at Renaissance. A Party by Alligator Pie

California Sunbounce

After the tradeshow ended, my roommates and I headed over the the rooftop of Platinum for California Sunbounce demonstration. The company produces a very high quality light modification products. The demonstration was lead by photographers Brittany Hanson and Mike Larson. Here are a few of my images from the shoot. It was really windy too!
